ABOUT US
Raising a Nation (RAN) is a not-for-profit organization under the umbrella of Al Rashid Mosque, which, being the first mosque to be established in Canada, is a pioneering institution of sparking a legacy for the future generations.

Our mission is to unify the Muslim community in Edmonton, and provide opportunities to gain Islamic knowledge, focusing on areas that address the social and spiritual issues that are specific to our community.

We hope to create an environment where Muslim brothers and sisters from all quadrants and communities in Edmonton can unite on a common platform, be spiritually inspired to reach out and take practical steps to connect with others, and improve our community as a whole by focusing on building our families.
Raising A Nation
Having successfully held women’s conferences in the last two years with over 400 attendees and 35 bazaar vendors, we are now aiming to reach out to a larger audience that includes women, men, youth, and children in the community.

We are positive that we can count on your support and participation in initiating this unique legacy where all of us Muslim Edmontonians can come together to strengthen our faith and develop a lifelong commitment to return to Allah (S.W.T) by building our families and ultimately our community through Raising a Nation!
